This sounds frighteningly like one of my senior composition projects! :D It looks like I may have found the university I have *really* been looking for in Boston.

I love it! German Lieder!

The song Bali Hai from South Pacific refers to a mystical and mythical island, of course, but I have visited Bali, Indonesia, about twenty times and I am writing about the way in which people associate Bali Hai with the actual Bali

I would like to encourage everyone to contribute to a great organization: the John Fawcett Foundation.
It is a real foundation that does great work.
Check out: www.balieye.org
(That is NOT www.balieye.com)
In Indonesian it is: YKI (Yayasan Kesehatan Indonesia).

Cheers,

Hans

May I list this on my website?
I am very interested in "exoticism" as a phenomenon.
I wrote a little paper on the idea of "Bali Hai" as a form of escapism, romanticism, Orienalism, etc.

I would love to meet with someone in Boston and do an informal "interview" for my revised paper and something I am trying to write on the Tiki sub-culture.

Cheers, Hans

Safety procedures at the Royal Consqueezatory are always #1. You all should enroll in The Mayor's class "Don't Be Bitter About Using The Bitters"
