Forward To a Friend
At the Okonkuluku University School of Design, students are encouraged to explore the arts via multiple media and through a wide variety of applications. Popular majors include: tiki mug/ceramicware design, illustration, fishermans’ lamp-making and tiki/wood carving. Through a special exchange program hosted by the Royal Consqueezatory, School of Design students are allowed to enroll in relevant Consqueezatory courses, such as “Survey of Mid-Century Umbrella Garnishes” and “Ice Sculpting and Cocktail Ice: Myths and Pleasures”.
Internship Opportunities
School of Design students are also welcome to participate in the University’s Internship Program, which gives students the opportunity to teach before graduation. Popular School of Design Internships include Teaching Apprenticeships, by which non-Design students can learn from Design majors. In the past, courses taught by Design students have been “Understanding Mug-Making for the Non-Major: Practical Approaches to Drinking Without A Straw”, “Ice Cones from Scratch: You Too Can Serve A Navy Grog with Proper Ice”, and “The Art and Science of Appreciating Liquor Packaging”. Other Internship opportunities are available off campus, in local watering holes and day schools.
